Nothing but a blubbering mess watching the notebook last night!  Love it though :)
…But why did she have to get dementia, why!?

One: Describe how you felt the first time you fell in love.  I don’t know.  It wasn’t something I just suddenly realised, it was more something I slowly fell into, it was good though :)

Two: Do you think love is overrated? Haha yes and no.  No one ever tells you about the heartaches and downs you feel in a relationship.  I always expected it to be rainbows and lollypops!

Three: What is your personal definition of ‘love’? Care for someone that you don’t feel for anyone else.  It feels a bit like home.  Willingness to do anything to make sure they’re okay.  Putting their needs before your own. But everyone knows it’s far too hard to explain.

Four: Have you ever been hurt by someone you love? Yes, all relationships have their rough patches and no one is perfect, even myself who has hurt the person I love before.

Five: Do you think it is possible to love more than one person at the same time? No, I could never love a second person at the same time.

Six: How many times do you think you’ve been in love? Once

Seven: Have you ever had to try and force yourself to stop loving someone? Yes, I protect myself a lot.  I’m kind of glad I do though, it keeps things real and down to earth.

Eight: Your favourite thing to do with that special person. Nothing better than cuddling up :)

Nine: Do you fall in love easily? Discuss. This is a hard question.  Like I said before, I protect myself well but I don’t know if that means I numb the feeling until I’m ready or what.  I was ready to say I love you after about 3 or 4 months, and I waited to say it because I wanted to mean it.

Ten: Do you love your friends? Of course!  In a slightly different way that I love my boyfriend though.

Eleven: Can you tell the person you love everything? He doesn’t know everything about me but I’m sure he’d understand everything (or try to) that he knows about me.

Twelve: How long did it take you to fall for them? 3 to 4 months.

Thirteen: How long do you think it takes to fall properly in love? It really depends on a number of things.  How you bond with other people, if you’re shy or not, how much bonding time you have with them etc.

Fourteen: Describe your favourite kiss ever, but don’t mention names.  Ohh, I just love anything passionate :)

Fifteen: What’s more important, love or friendship? They work hand in hand, neither is more important than the other.

Sixteen: Is love 100% positive?  Not always, there’s arguments/disagreements and in some cases it’s unrequited and that wouldn’t be a positive thing.

Last day of having long hair!
Yes, it is true.  In 24 hours time I will no longer have the bum length hair that I have been growing for the past 3 years, it’s time to chop.  So, I have decided to write up how I have managed (quite easily) to take such good care of my splitless, shiny locks.
1.  Cutting your hair often does not make it grow faster.  I don’t know where this came from but last time I checked my hair didn’t grow from the bottom up, it grows out of your scalp.  It is dead and does not determine how quickly the roots create your hair.  So, why am I telling you this…? It means you have to look after where it is made, how:
-  Eat well!  Devouring macca’s/donut/chips etc everyday is going to make your scalp oily and eventually it will turn scrappy.  Make sure that you eat plenty of greens and other vegies too.  Foods high in omega 3 found in fish, especially salmon and ‘good fats’ found in various nuts and seeds are great for keeping my hair ultra silky and shiny. Where you can, stick to vegetable oils and fats rather than animals fats.
2.  Don’t wash your hair every day.  Washing your hair everyday will cause the oil glands in your scalp to become ‘overactive’ trying to replenish your hair to keep it nice and dehydrated.  You’ll be stuck in this cycle of having to wash your hair every day because it’s just too oily to be seen in public.  STOP!  Doing this will dehydrate the ends of your hair and you will eventually get spit ends if they aren’t kept hydrated enough.  This is because the oils created by your scalp don’t have enough time to travel down the hairs to moisturise the ends.  How to get out of the cycle: become a hermit for a few days and don’t wash your hair.  Sounds gross, I know but it works.  Then, from then on only wash every second or third day.  Trust me, your scalp will not produce more oil than it needs to so eventually it will become accustom to you washing your hair at that consistent period.
3.  Drink lots of water, but not too much.  About 2 litres during summer and 1.5L during winter, but this depends on you and where you live.
4. Don’t blow dry your hair.  You get split ends.  Some people have told me that their hairdressers said that if you let your hair drip dry you get split ends.  Wrong.  Take it from me who never blow dries her hair and has been 3 years without spilt ends.  I don’t straighten it very often either, only special occasions.
My secrets:
1.  Shark cartilage tablets.  They’re an Australian made product of ground shark cartilage, non prescription capsules from the pharmacy.  But before you get all crazy on me for being not animal friendly, let me explain.  The sharks used for this tablet are the by-catch of a popularly caught fish in a location where sharks are present and are not targetted.  By the time the fish are sorted, etc the fish and any by-catch is already dead. The sharks in this location are supposedly exceptional because of the plankton or something that are consumed by or act on the sharks which is why these are good to use. So, instead of being thrown back, they use it to create these wonder tablets which make your hair and nails grow like crazy!
2.  A few hours before you shower, smother your hair in olive oil and leave it in.  It will moisturise the entire strands of hair and once it is washed out won’t leave it oily and gross.  Just beautiful and lusciously hydrated.
3.  I don’t use treatments because I know then that my hair will become reliant on those products for the false health that it tends to be perceived as.  Treatment have chemicals which swell the hair making it soft and silky for a while but really not increasing the health of the hair.  The aim is to keep your hair well hydrated.
Well enough from me, I’m getting tired.  I hope at least one person reads this and gets something out of reading this.  P.S. That photo was taken at least 3 or 4 months ago, my hair has grown since then.

I love christmas!

I love christmas!

It’s nice to know where you’re appreciated… I feel like I’m running in circles sometimes.

lol that does not look like a woman!

lol that does not look like a woman!

I loved every part of Bathurst island.  The people had a different attitude to the people that live around me.  They were genuine and sincere.  Our group would always be greeted by somebody, whether that be little children or the elderly.  The kids loved to talk about their family; name their brothers, sisters, parents and grandparents.  This community was so family oriented.  They live so simply with just the bare necessities, yet, they were so happy in their stress free and relaxed lifestyle.  I really loved sitting in a big circle on that first day with the guitars singing.  They all sung without shame including us and they were all incredibly (musically) gifted.  It was just the best feeling to feel the unity between us all.

But I realised though, that the only problems that existed amongst these people were the ones that were introduced by modern society and its sad to see some of those people addicted to coke, smoking tobacco and weed; these problems wouldn’t have existed once upon a time.
